Prize Giveaway Privacy Policy

Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Central Valley, Inc. ("RMHCCV," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information in connection with our prize giveaway website at www.rmhccv-win.com, related pages and forms, our ticket and entry platform, and communications relating to our giveaways (collectively, the "Giveaway Services").
This Privacy Policy applies to information collected online through the Giveaway Services and to related information collected by phone, mail, or other offline methods. It does not replace the official rules for any giveaway. If an official rule conflicts with this Privacy Policy regarding administration of a particular giveaway, the official rule will govern to the extent permitted by law.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
We may collect personal information that you provide when you enter a giveaway, make a donation or payment, request a no-purchase entry, contact us, subscribe to communications, complete a form, or claim a prize. Depending on your interaction, this information may include:
•    Contact information, such as your name, mailing address, email address, and telephone number.
•    Entry and transaction information, such as the giveaway entered, ticket or entry number, amount and date of a donation or payment, promotional code, transaction status, and related records.
•    Eligibility information, such as age or date of birth, state or country of residence, and information needed to confirm compliance with the official rules.
•    Payment information. Payment card information is submitted to the payment processor used for the transaction. We may receive limited payment and transaction details, such as payment status, card type, and the last four digits of a card.
•    Communications and preferences, including messages you send us, survey responses, marketing preferences, and email or text-message consent records.
•    Prize and winner information, including identification, eligibility documentation, tax information, signatures, photographs, video, voice, likeness, and other information reasonably needed to verify a winner, award a prize, satisfy reporting obligations, and publicize the winner as permitted by the applicable official rules.
•    Any other information you choose to provide.

Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Giveaway Services, we and service providers working on our behalf may automatically collect information about your device and activity, including:
•    Internet Protocol address, device identifiers, browser type, operating system, device type, language, and general location derived from an IP address.
•    Pages viewed, links clicked, referring and exit pages, dates and times of visits, interactions with forms, and other usage information.
•    Information collected through cookies, pixels, tags, software development kits, local storage, and similar technologies.

Information From Other Sources
We may receive information from vendors that support the Giveaway Services, including our website host, entry and payment platforms, communications providers, analytics providers, advertising partners, social-media platforms, fraud-prevention providers, and prize-fulfillment vendors. We may also receive information from publicly available sources or from another person when permitted by law.

How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information to:
•    Operate the Giveaway Services and process entries, donations, payments, refunds, and no-purchase entry requests.
•    Confirm eligibility; select, contact, and verify potential winners; deliver prizes; publish winner information; and administer giveaways in accordance with the official rules.
•    Respond to questions, requests, complaints, and other communications.
•    Send transactional or administrative messages, such as confirmations, receipts, security notices, changes to a giveaway, and winner notifications.
•    Send marketing communications about giveaways, promotions, updates, fundraising opportunities, and winner announcements when permitted by law and consistent with your choices.
•    Operate, maintain, personalize, measure, and improve our websites, forms, advertising, communications, and fundraising efforts.
•    Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and violations of our terms or official rules.
•    Comply with legal, tax, accounting, audit, and regulatory obligations; establish or defend legal claims; and protect the rights, safety, and property of RMHCCV, entrants, donors, and others.
•    Carry out any other purpose described when the information is collected or with your consent.

How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following categories of recipients for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy:
•    Service providers and contractors that provide website hosting, entry administration, payment processing, database management, email and text messaging, analytics, advertising, fraud prevention, professional services, tax reporting, prize delivery, and other support.
•    Giveaway and prize partners, including vendors that help verify winners, arrange transportation or lodging, transfer a vehicle or other prize, or fulfill a cash or merchandise prize.
•    Advertising, analytics, and social-media partners. These parties may use cookies, pixels, or similar technologies to collect device and online activity information for measurement, audience development, or advertising, subject to your available privacy choices.
•    Government authorities, regulators, courts, law enforcement, and other parties when disclosure is required or permitted by law, necessary to administer a giveaway, or reasonably needed to protect rights, safety, and property.
•    Professional advisors, such as attorneys, auditors, accountants, insurers, and consultants.
•    A successor organization or other party involved in a merger, reorganization, financing, transfer of assets, or similar organizational transaction.
•    Other parties at your direction or with your consent.
•    Winner information may be made public as described in the applicable official rules. This may include a winner’s name, city and state or province, photograph, voice, likeness, statements, and prize information.

Cookies Analytics and Advertising
The Giveaway Services use cookies and similar technologies that are necessary for the site to function and may also use analytics, functionality, and advertising technologies. These technologies can remember preferences, maintain security, measure traffic and campaign performance, and help us deliver or evaluate advertising on other websites and services.
Third-party analytics, advertising, and social-media providers may collect information about your activity on the Giveaway Services and across other websites or services over time. Their use of information is governed by their own privacy policies.
You can manage available cookie choices through our cookie banner. You may also adjust your browser settings, although blocking some cookies may affect site functionality.

Sale or Sharing of Personal Information
RMHCCV does not sell personal information for money. Our use of certain advertising or analytics technologies may involve disclosure of device identifiers and online activity to advertising partners. Some privacy laws may define this activity as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information even when no money changes hands.
Where required by applicable law, you may opt out through cookie settings. Where required, we also treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out for the browser or device sending the signal.

Do Not Track Signals
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" setting. Because there is no uniform standard for responding to Do Not Track signals, the Giveaway Services do not currently respond to those signals. This is separate from Global Privacy Control signals, which our site processes in accordance with applicable law and as described in this policy.

Email and Text Message Choices
You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message. If you have opted in to marketing text messages, you may opt out by following the instructions in the message or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing messages does not prevent us from sending nonmarketing communications that are necessary to process a transaction, administer an entry, respond to you, or notify a potential winner.
Consent to receive marketing emails or text messages is not a condition of entering a giveaway or making a donation unless expressly stated and permitted by law.

Your Privacy Choices and Requests
You may ask us to provide information about personal information we maintain about you, correct inaccurate information, delete information, or change your communication preferences. We will review and respond to verified requests as required by applicable law. We may retain information when reasonably necessary to complete a transaction, administer or document a giveaway, prevent fraud, comply with tax or other legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or exercise or defend legal claims.

An authorized agent may submit a request where permitted by law, but we may require proof of the agent’s authority and verification of the individual’s identity.
We will not discriminate against you for exercising a privacy right granted by applicable law.

California Privacy Information
RMHCCV is a nonprofit organization. The California Consumer Privacy Act generally does not apply to nonprofit organizations, although other California privacy laws may apply to particular activities or information. If a California privacy law applies to a request or practice described in this Privacy Policy, we will provide the rights and disclosures required by that law.
California’s Shine the Light law permits California residents to request certain information regarding disclosure of personal information to third parties for those third parties’ own direct-marketing purposes. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to administer giveaways, maintain transaction and entry records, communicate with supporters, comply with tax and legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the type of information, the nature of our relationship, legal requirements, and operational needs. When information is no longer reasonably needed, we may delete it, deidentify it, or securely dispose of it.

Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children
The Giveaway Services are intended for adults and are not directed to children under 13. Our giveaways are limited to persons who satisfy the minimum age stated in the applicable official rules. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 provided personal information through the Giveaway Services, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.

Third Party Websites and Services
The Giveaway Services may link to or integrate with websites and services operated by third parties. We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those third parties. Review their privacy notices before providing personal information.

Users Outside the United States
RMHCCV operates the Giveaway Services from the United States. If you use the Giveaway Services from another country, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other countries where our service providers operate. Those countries may have privacy laws that differ from the laws where you live.

Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised policy on the Giveaway Services and update the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice as appropriate, such as by posting a prominent notice or contacting you using information we have on file.
